I am the captain of teams in the 8-Ball and 9-Ball leagues in the local APA (American Poolplayer Association) league. It works a lot like a bowling league, with teams of players who play against each other for a 10 to 15 week session, handicaps to make it fair for beginning and intermediate players, playoffs at the end of each session for the teams with the most points, and even a national championship. I began playing 9-Ball in January 2004, and began playing 8-Ball as well in Fall of 2004. Pool-related accomplishments so far:

-- 9-Ball team placed 17th in the Nation at the 2004 APA National9-Ball Team Championships in Las Vegas, August 2004

-- Placed 17th in the nation with partner Drew Gentry at the 2007 National Jack & Jill 8-Ball Championship in Las Vegas
